Our thoughts are with the people of Ukraine, who today are experiencing the 500th day since the Russian invasion began on Feb 24, 2022. I met with Halyna Koscharsky and Kateryna Argyrou from the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations to hear more about this unjust and illegal war and the courage, heroism and resilience of the Ukrainian people. We’d like to #StandWithUkraine and the Australian-Ukrainian community to commemorate the enduring testament of the Ukrainian people to independence and democracy.

You can write a letter to the PM (and your local MP) calling for more military aid for Ukraine; donate to the Defend Ukraine Appeal, Australia’s largest community-run fundraising vehicle for the provision of non-lethal military aid to Ukraine, such as transport vehicles, protective gear and lifesaving equipment donate; or donate to the AFUO’s Ukraine Crisis Appeal to provide life-saving humanitarian aid to innocent Ukrainian victims.
