SUPPORT FOR VIETNAM – KN95 face masks

Following an approach from our contacts in Vietnam, Danny Low initiated a program to ship new (surplus to requirement) KN95 face masks from Sydney to Vietnam. The face masks are available free thanks to the Medical Repurposing Network which is a project of the Rotary Club of Sydney Cove. Our Club Board has approved a proposal to pay for handling and freight charges for a 20 foot container (300,000 masks) including uplift and collection from the warehouse in Sydney and delivery to Haiphong Port in Vietnam.

——- Update on 5th October 2021 ——–

The shipment has arrived and was distributed to two different provinces and as you can see was very well received by our colleagues in Vietnam. Danny is also keeping in touch with the starting up of Rotary in Vietnam which given our Club’s long involvement in medical training in that country should augur well for identification of future potential projects.
