TIMOR-LESTE FLOOD RELIEF

our Club has a long-standing history supporting projects in Timor Leste (including support for the RYLA and RYPEN leadership training programs) and prior to COVID-19 we had a number of initiatives in the pipeline which unfortunately are on hold until travel can resume. So when recently the RYLA alumni reached out for assistance for purchase of food and cooking oil following the devastating floods the Board agreed to contribute $2,500 to a fund organised by the Rotary Club of Crows Nest which finally totalled $10,000 with contributions from other Clubs. The funds were sent to Timor-Leste for distribution to individuals in immediate need of assistance.
